Mark Daymond, who became the NSERC Industrial Research Chair in Nuclear Materials in the spring of 2012. Now an Emeritus Professor at Queen's, Holt continues to take a role in the realization and implementation of the RMTL. Rick Holt, then the NSERC/UNENE Industrial Research Chair in Nuclear Materials. The RMTL project was originally led by Prof. The facility has been funded with a grant from CFI/MEDT and support from Queen's and the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science. By studying the effects of this damage on the way that materials behave we can gain insight into, and draw parallels with, the way that materials are damaged within a nuclear reactor. It uses a proton accelerator to introduce damage into materials at a microscopic scale. The Reactor Materials Testing Laboratory (RMTL) is an exciting research endeavor for the Queen's Nuclear Materials Group. The library is installed alongside the Iray for 3ds Max plugin.Update: RMTL has a new website, check it out by clicking this LINK ! This library contains a subset of materials from all the other Material Libraries listed on this page. Each zip also contains information about installing an Iray+ library within 3ds Max. Each library download is zipped for convenience and contains both the library and the textures required for that library. Given the size of the textures involved there is no link to download all the libraries. Click any image to see a larger version.Įach section on this page also has a link for download. This page provides a list and preview of the material libraries available for download. Iray for 3ds Max makes hundreds of materials available for use in your projects.
